Vespa Print Ads
August 18th, 2008
Design: Dentsu, Toronto, ON – Art Director: Deborah Prenger – Creative Catalyst: Glen Hunt – Artist: Henry Lee
Client: Vespa Canada
Date: 2008
A riff on the insect, wasp like feel of the original Vespa scooters. The ads content crosses a wide range of illustrative styles, feelings and time, they feel as if they were pulled from the vaults of Vespa life (The ’60′s, ’70′s etc), creating the impression that Vespa has always been here. These ads started appearing in the early spring, with the images and text setting up a connection, Vespa equals springtime. Big message, especially in Canada where we can only ride from spring to fall.
It is so refreshing to see the ad firms in Canada producing such memorable work!
