  This is a good reference book. This cover is for the soft cover edition. People should also get “Le Design au Québec”.

  The graphic seem out of touch with the subject matter of the boo. “Tea Kettles to Task Chairs”…it would be stronger if it was folksier, or applied the Swiss style that Canucks have adopted so well.

  I am not sure if Karim’s signature on the cover helps anything either. The guy can design, too bad he was sleeping on the job here. This cover felt dated before it even came out. I recognize that he may be the most famous Canadian designer, but like music (Brittany anyone?), fame does not always equal great work.

  Great book though!

  Great content! I just covered it with some vinyl, and it looks nice too. It is filled with some really cool small canadian projects that I never would have heard of otherwise.

  I agree that Karim can design, but I don’t think his work has any relevance to Canada at all, and detracts from the book immensly.
