Hockey Night in Canada Side Table
September 18th, 2007
Design: Douglas Coupland
Manufacturer: PURE Design, Edmonton AB
Date: 2004
The Hockey Night in Canada table was designed by Douglas Coupland for PURE Design and made using die cut laminates and steel legs. The laminate top came in a variety of colors including pink and wood veneer (aptly named Alberta). This product was very difficult to manufacture and the table was subsequently discontinued. This is a great image taken from PURE Design’s product catalog.

Launched in 1999. Features CNC-cut p-lam. Not particularily difficult to manufacture, it was produced steadily until Pure Design was sold to OFFI in 2004.

Does anyone have suggestions on how someone would go about finding one of these tables?

We currently have one of these great tables in the classic red, white & blue combination.
Overall condition is excellent with the exception of the base being re drilled at some point, but this does not affect the overall strength or look of the piece in any way.
