The BC Hydro logo is something of a classic… I don’t think it’s changed much over the years (if at all), but I haven’t been able to find much background on it. Anyone know who designed this or when?

The ‘picture tube’ update of the BC Hydro logo was done by Jim Rimmer, who died this January following a year long battle with cancer.
The original version was a similar stylized ‘H’ in a circle. I believe Jim’s update was designed in the late 70s or early 80s.
