Gary Bromley “Skull” Mask
February 1st, 2009
Design: Greg Harrison
Client: Gary Bromley
Date: 1980
The “impressive and scary Skull mask was donned by Gary Bromley, an Edmonton native who made a great first impression with the Sabres in ’74-75. Bromley wound up his big league career with three years in Vancouver, suiting up for the Canucks from ’78 to ’81″. The skeleton theme extended around to the back, where “letters made out of small bones spell out Bromley’s “Bones” nickname on the back plate”.
