Zanta: The Living Legend

This graphic novel chronicles the story of Zanta, the alter-ego of Toronto man, David Zancai, an eccentric fixture who commanded the streets and subway platforms of Toronto with push-ups and loud exclamations in the mid-2000s. Zancai, diagnosed with a mental illness and now on medication, was eventually banned from downtown after too many altercations and disruptions, and thus no longer graces us with his outrageous Zanta personality. The novel seeks to be a charming tribute and encourage acceptance beyond what society typically considers “normal”.
