Canopy at Maple Leaf Square – Toronto, Ontario

August 11th, 2012

“Canopy is a sculpture inspired by walking in the dappled light of the forest. Thousands of individual geometric light modules are arranged in a non-repeating pattern to simulate light filtering through the leaves of overhead trees. In the daytime, light is allowed to shine through the modules illuminating the street below, while at night, LED lighting shines from each cell in flowing patterns that resemble a light breeze shaking the leaves of the forest.”
