Saskatchewan Provincial Government Logo
December 2nd, 2006
Design:
Client: Saskatchewan Provincial Government
Date:

There seems to be two styles in most of the design out of Saskatchewan, either a hybrid colonial/frontier style or the dominate International style of the 60′s and 70′s. Most of the major commisions followed the boom age on the praires at this time, which left a strong presence of architecture and identity systems (signage, logos and publications) that have adopted the tight and confidant style of the modernism. The provincial logo represents a bundle of wheat, which reflects the main industry and the farming lifestyle.
