This is one of those great designs of the “I can’t believe this has not been done before” type, it seems so obvious. Combine a common object, the java jacket, with a thoughtful piece of jewelery, and you end up with a useful decoration that can be slipped off during your coffee break. The Coffee Cuff keeps your hand from burning, and avoids having to use the disposable paper variety. When you wear (and use) this smart accessory, it sends a message to us all…it is easy to become a green advocate.

The resident coffee junky at my house is gonna love this thing… practical jewelery.

I LOVE mine and wear it all the time. And it is also “green” because it is made from architectural off-cuts, so it not only has two functions, it’s also re-purposed and upcycled scraps!

The company has also been getting great accolades – the piece was featured in the Toronto Star around xmas time and is in the current issue of Lou Lou.

There’s no doubt that this is beautiful design, my only concern is that it encourages the use of disposable cups (the majority of which aren’t recyclable).

I’d love to see a bent veneer travel mug.

Totally agree with you, John. This has crossed my mind as well. I am a pretty staunch re-usable mug user, and it can be touch to coordinate the days when I have left it at home with wearing the cuff. That being said, every little bit helps – not taking a coffee mug jacket, a straw, a lid, etc.
