From portaging and loading these sturdy and functional pieces are purpose built for the canoe traveller. The style is low-fi and throwback, a genuine contrast to the standard nylon bag. These are neatly tailored wooden boxes and handles with little details of strapping to bind them shut and connected to the canoe, or the paddler. This is a highly specialized set of objects with a small market, and this is exactly why they are great, they are boutique.
