The Crazy carpet, now termed a ‘Wacky carpet’, is manufactured and designed by the toy manufacturer H2O Recreation Inc. in Chomedey Quebec.

An inherent part of growing up in Canada the Wacky carpet has stood the test of time spanning generations of Canadians. The no frills design of the Wacky carpet is all part of it’s charm. A slick surface with handles pretty much sums it up. It’s lack of comfort and control are made up for in it’s unpredictability and shear speed which makes for a wild ride down the local toboggan hill.

Usually found tucked away in the clutter of Canadian garages and basements or left abandoned in the back yard the Wacky carpet would fit in well among the sleek, minimal designs of contemporary interiors, furniture and architecture.
Not recommended for those with sensitive arses.

The “crazy ( or wacky) carpet” is such a great invention. It beats the “snow-dasher”, which is a sliding tube manufactured by the same company. I bought two snow dashers this winter (2007) for my children and they ripped at the first use! I am so disappointed because of the poor quality of the product that I will write to the company to compalin.

where can i purchase a few “crazycarpets”. It’s the end of august, fairly warm still, and i can’t seem to find any stores that have them available. Where can i purchase/aquire (4) crazycarpets at this time of the year?

They were great, but the plastic would always rip at the handles. Ensured that you had to buy a new one each year.

Would like to have you make 500 + cones from a Crazy Carpet sheet sise 4″ diameterx 11″diameter x 31″ high. Cut lay flat for shipping, that the user will form by connecting three(3) notches on side. Design available on request. Other projects on the way with same base.
    Thanks!
