“The Northwest Territories started issuing bear-shaped plates in 1970, a practice that continues today. This is an uncommon white-on-blue issue (usually blue or red on white) from a 1972 Commercial Vehicle”

Just to let you know, in Canada, we use “spelt” in instances where “spelled” is poor English.

I use spelt instead of flour when I make breads and such. ;-)
That is a very cool plate. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I think this is a great idea. It would make Canada unique if every province had their own animal license plate. Too bad not all the provinces have a unique shape… let’s be creative…..i think there’s a project coming on…..

haha you guys are brutal with your spelling and grammar naziisms.

yeah I agree with Jenny Kimster, (hey j-kim what what!)

The bear is really nice, and a great creative alternative to the rounded rectangle that we’re all accustomed to.

Each plate should have their own form. However i wonder what animal the Ontario license plate would be? Maybe a squeegee kid? A seagull? Maybe I don’t know enough about Ontario to think of it’s indigenous species.

Of course that’s assuming that Toronto is the center of the universe.

GREAT Plate. My family plays the license plate game when we go on road trips. I saw this plate somewhere between Mich. & Maine but could not read the province name and had to wait until I could look it up on the net. I’m so glad it was here! In all our years of playing this is the first sighting! .Perhaps not too many NW folks road trip it to the lower 48) “Wicked” idea (as they say in Maine) Ay-yut!

P.S. There’s sure to be a grammatical error here. Have at it.

Ya if every province had there own animial license plate, I wonder if Alberta will get a cow license plate? for the beef?? wait this is fun, for BC, we should have a poodle, for Saskatwean a crow, for manitoba a chicken, ontario a bluejay (yay toronto blue jays) for quebec a moose, and the other provinces nobody cares about, let the rednecks decide with fork pitches and suped up trucks.

PS nobody gives a shit about grammer errors…
