MB80 Sky Whale

The 25-metre, Manitoba-built single-pilot MB80 airship is designed to travel with heavy cargo (a year’s worth of supplies) to remote northern communities. Typically this journey has been by heavy truck but with rising fuel prices and a shortening winter (ice roads open and close earlier than ever) this option is becoming unfeasible. Cleaner, bigger and maybe neater, this option will bring Canada into the return of the blimp age.
